DO SCIENTISTS LIE TO US ? SCIENCE V RELIGION AND NATURE

Hello,
Sample this:
Most alarmingly IPCC is withdrawing it's claim of doom.
In 2007, the United Nations International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued an "official report" that predicted the glaciers of the Himalayas would completely melt by the year 2035. While there were sceptics to this claim the chief of the IPCC went so far as to dismiss these skeptics as advocates of "voodoo science."
It now turns out that the report was not based on any scientific research at all. Questioning has revealed that the report was based on a speculation by a small time Indian scientist who has confirmed that he has no research to back his speculation.
This is an example of how careless UN climate scientists are in writing their official reports, it is a wonder that any reasonable scientist would ever trust their conclusions or wild warnings of doom.
Follow it up by the exagerrated claims of possible doom from bird flu, swine flu, hepatitis B and you have your answer..
If scientists say that religion and astrology is humbug what do we say of them?
Best regards,
Manoj
